Covermore is a leading travel and medical insurance business who committed to a lease on Level 15, 340 Adelaide Street in Brisbane at the end of 2016. Requirements for the space were its ability to operate 24 hours a day, not only using a backup generator on site but a building with the benefit of being able to run on 2 different power grids, reducing operational risk. The site chosen was 902m2 of central core, column free floor plate providing the bones for an efficient space. A space that defined the culture of the business and attracted and retained anyone culturally aligned with the Covermore brand.

Covermore chose Amicus as their Design & Construction provider to manage the entire project from concept to completion. Amicus’ design team chose neutral tones throughout to allow for a clean, fresh and timeless office fitout. Entering Covermore, clients present to a reception with blue tones representing the Covermore brand, accompanied by an earthy wood wall and reception desk and comfortable seating style to create a welcoming feel. In the workspaces pops of colour have been used to identify different business neighbourhoods.

The large breakout space with hanging chairs brings the workspaces together with a variety of seating options allowing employees to enjoy their lunch, meet as a whole office or for small group collaboration. Other work spaces include quiet rooms for meetings and focus work, private offices for managers and a specialised space for a medical room.

Amicus are proud to say the project was finished before the expected completion date and handed over to the client for a seamless move in day.
