DDLS is the leading corporate IT education provider in Australia. The opportunity arose to design and construct their new 1150sqm office located at 477 Pitt St, from a strong long term relationship Amicus have maintained with Dimension Data.

Previously in a very outdated fitout, DDLS were excited to take full advantage of the design possibilities available in using the space as a true strategic enabler. A strong brand presence was reflected throughout the design, particularly in the reception area, to provide a welcoming and innovative environment for visitors. Amicus designed a functional and appealing hospitality area with multiple seating options as well as a practical kitchenette for contracted chefs to cook hot meals for clients and staff.

Circling the level are the maximum number of classrooms with different style working zones for staff and clients throughout the branded and colourful corridors. Further along, a test centre, meeting room and a hot desking staff room that allows employees from various departments to work side-by-side, fostering inter departmental collectivism. Looking to adopt a full Activity Based Working policy in the near future, employees currently have high flexibility with the option to work from home or in the various spaces throughout the office.

The new office is virtual and invigorating. It has improved morale, productivity and provided clients with a not only an educational experience but a positive one.

What the client said:

Amicus have been a very easy organisation to work with. They provided an effective solution to everything and the end result has blown us away’ Chris Austin, National Instructor Manager, DDLS.
