Amicus responded to a proposal for Metlife’s office refurbishment at 2 Park Street, Sydney. As the design phase was already complete, Amicus was engaged on a construction management basis to deliver the project within a 9 week timeframe. The fitout spanned across two floors, each 1700sqm in size. 

With both floors occupied, it was critical that the programme of works be staged carefully to ensure Metlife’s business continuity. The stand out feature of the high quality fitout are the graphics of Snoopy artwork, the iconic dog, featured throughout the design on partitions and glass walls. Metlife employees benefit from a new Town Hall area which occupies 40% of the floorplan and features operable walls, allowing the space to be opened up to hold large internal and external gatherings.  Several meeting rooms have been constructed as well as a telepresence room, designed to stringent Metlife criteria so that every telepresence room across Metlife offices internationally look identical down to the paint colour and furniture. 

Amicus exceeded the client’s expectations in our ability to deliver such a high-end result in a tight timeframe.  Amicus value engineered the project to ensure that the design intent was maintained within the project budget. Metlife are very pleased with their fitout and have advised that they would gladly open their doors for a site inspection for prospective Amicus clients.
