The style and standard of the workspace speaks volumes about your business. By working hard to understand your culture Amicus will create the right space standards for you, and an interior experience that reflects the essence of your brand.

It is important you understand the process by which the office interior design will unfold:

  1. Discovery- Amicus start by spending time with you to understand you and your brief, particularly your timeframe and your budget.
  2. Building selection- we will visit your chosen building (or shortlisted buildings) to help form an opinion of what can be achieved with the design brief.
  3. Building appraisal- Amicus will prepare space planning plans to indicate that your chosen building will accommodate your occupancy brief.
  4. Explore- we will consult with the key people in your business to understand their detailed requirements, in order to develop workplace standards and guidelines for your new office fit out.
  5. Create – once the discovery and exploration stages have been completed Amicus will prepare a detailed space plan concepts (map) and concept scheme illustrating the look and feel of the office, encompassing colour selections and choice of fixture and fittings. The project budget will be the guide for the office design selections.
  6. Concept sign off- this is an important step for you, the client. Once you are happy with the office fit out and look and feel, we will invite you to “sign-off” on these elements to enable the detailed design process to unfold.
  7. Documentation- this stage takes your concept plans and ideas to a full documentation level where each element of the design is detailed for you to approve and sign off. Once signed off, these documents will form the basis by which we will build your fit out. Often at this stage a Building Services Designer will become involved in preparing the documents relating to the design of the air conditioning, lighting, power / data, fire and plumbing.
  8. Approvals- prior to Construction we will provide you with a set of plans to submit to your new landlord and to the council for DA approval. Amicus will facilitate this process for you.
  9. Implementation- the Amicus designer will be on hand during the construction stage to offer advice to any ambiguous site conditions that require design input.
  10. Reflection – we will prepare a defects report against the finished product. This will identify any areas of the design that have not been correctly interpreted and may need additional design input.
