Rapid growth and high end technology were the main driving forces behind the office relocation and design. isobar had a clear vision of how the space would be most practically designed in supporting the team of developers, innovators and inspirators. As a cutting edge, tech savvy and diverse company in regards to age, gender and ethnicity, these factors also influenced the overall design. The vision was to provide people with a ‘space that can be hacked’ - the ability to tailor an environment to suit their creative needs. The furniture is movable, height adjustable and supports an agile ‘swarm and sprint’ style of working. Every wall is pinable, stickable or writable. The need for mass wall space in an open plan environment led to the creation of a customised writable and pinable board and frame system for isobar.

It allows for ideas to occur and develop in the workspace, be easily picked up and transferred to meeting rooms for client presentation and greater team collaboration. Three ceiling mounted short throw projectors create an immersive experience in the twenty person seated presentation room, while an adjoining lounge displays a device demonstration wall proving that all client created experiences are compatible on all digital platforms. The space portrays that of a warm and welcoming home to balance the tech nature of what they do. The mood is created through the use of dark and warm timbers with accents of black, olive and orange across the floor. Cascading plants and pendant lighting add to the zen feel and ambience. The café is a primary feature of the workspace. The 1800sqm space offers a variety of settings for people to work, meet and socialize.
