We have seen examples of companies doing a new fit out. They didn’t see any value in hiring, or tasking anyone with project managing the phone system supplier. Subsequently, that supplier was kept at arms distance from the D&C team, not realising that neither team had quoted to cable from the MDF room to the tenancy. On completion of the project, they had phone cabling to a patch panel in their tenancy and a lovely new phone system, but none of it working...
