High Security Operations Control Room

Amicus and design firm PTID were engaged by a leading Australian energy company to Design & Construct it’s new premises in Brisbane. The 1800sqm office fitout project was delivered in tight timeframes, having design begin in March 2016 and construction completed in December of the same year.

The new premises spanning over 2 levels at 10 Eagle Street were an amalgamation of 2 sites in QLD, one administration centre in South Brisbane and the other was from its long term location at Mansfield which housed its purpose built, high security Operations Control room and Dispatch Training Simulator. The high tech design included an existing internal stairs for connection of the 2 floors and a design ensuring that the inter-connectivity was maximised while keeping public areas on one floor and the staff areas on the other.

The key focus was on ensuring the leading energy company was supported with weekly PCG meeting through the design and build phases to ensure they were in control of the change management process.

Programme was also a key focus to ensure that the Operations Control room operational in order to be tested and be fully functional prior to relocation so ensure a seamless transition. The client was extremely happy with the end result saying “It was a great result and that the Amicus team had enthusiasm and a positive attitude”
