The project was driven by the need to accommodate an additional 67 staff who were to be relocated to the site. This included the refurbishment of all work environments, the establishment of an executive wing, a large kitchen/ breakout and the conversion of a warehouse into carpark. Due to the buildings’ multipurpose as a showroom, office and distribution centre, the design intent was to create a sense of “oneness” across departments through common selection of finishes and furniture. Interpreted from a local Melbourne perspective, the design kept true to Miele’s global design principals – sleek, durable, functional, easy to use and energy efficient.

The team at Miele are very proud of their history and this has been honoured throughout the fitout in the form of a lightbox feature wall and ‘Miele red’ carpet tiles, paint and furniture.

The hero of the fitout is the stunning new staff breakout which wouldn’t be complete without a fully customised Miele kitchen. Due to site occupancy, the project was delivered across 3 stages. With strict timeframes in place Amicus were able to successfully deliver Miele on time and to a happy client.
