Client Goals

Healthways staff requirements fluctuate frequently depending on their current contracts. Combined with more staff being able to work from home, their current floor space exceeded their requirements. A design was required that would accommodate the fluctuation in staff but allow the space to comfortably fit all staff when 100% occupied. Additionally the budget was tight which created challenges to reuse existing furniture but to provide a clean, fresh new look. The floor was to be occupied during the fitout and a relocation plan was established to allow the staff to continue work during the fitout without any interruption.

A further challenge was that The Department of Defence had a secure room in the middle of the construction site. This room was to remain secure and live around the clock for the duration of the fitout. This process was carefully managed to ensure the staff had clear, unobstructed and safe access to this room at any given time.

The client was walked through the entire process from design inception, tender and construction. The project was successfully completed ahead of schedule and within budget, with a happy client and staff.
