Project Details

The Australian Centre for Ecogenomics (ACE) is a established centre at the University of Queensland in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (It provides a focal point for sequence-based analysis of microbial communities). Amicus Interiors were engaged on a $1.3M contract to complete a state of the art research laboratory and leaning space for ACE.

Client Goals

The project included complex services components including full mixed gas provision, fume cupboards and chemical storage facilities. Built to Federal Physical contamination standards Level 2 (PC2) and Quarantine Containment Level 2 (QC2), the new tertiary centre also offers the latest in OH&S design, systems including high temperature and gas leakage alarms in addition to full emergency patience care provision. Completed on time, the finished facility was a national centre piece for ACE who now proudly market the space to its future tertiary market sector.
